Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a fast-paced production environment with rail care experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory and management experience is required.
• General Inspector Qualification preferred; VT Certification a plus; capable of computer-based reporting.
• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred; willingness to pursue certification as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and supervises shift production to meet repair priorities and resource availability.
• Provide leadership for day-to-day operations across departments; ensure quality and safety audits.
• Perform estimates for repairs; conduct inspections per AAR and GATX standards; direct groups of employees.
• Maintain shift transitions and effective communication with Quality Managers; ensure administrative tasks are complete.
