Job summary

Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma.
• Must maintain a valid state drivers license if required to operate company equipment.
• Meet and maintain all requirements contained in conditions of employment policy.

Responsibilities

• Remove debris with backpack blowers and scraping devices to prevent vehicle damage.
• Open and close railcar doors.
• Identify repairs that can be performed by mechanics.
• Lubricate hinge decks, end doors, and chock vehicle securement devices as needed.
• Maintain accountability and maintenance for all equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties as required by location management.
• Work mandatory overtime hours when required by business needs.
• Inspect vehicle securement devices for fitness and store properly.
• Assist in repairing and lowering hinge decks.
• Inspect, repair, install and remove bridge plates.
