Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn railcar inspection and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars for damage and repair needs.
• Perform general mechanical and structural repairs on railroad equipment.
• Complete Class I air brake tests per procedures.
• Use welding equipment, torches, grinders, and hand tools.
• Document repairs, labor time, and parts used.
• Notify management of equipment conditions and repair needs.
• Operate forklifts, spotter trucks, and other equipment.
• Maintain organized work area and follow safety rules.
