Job summary

Drummac, Inc. seeks a Qualified Person (QP) to maintain and repair passenger rail cars and locomotives, following railroad regulations and under supervision of a Passenger Rail Mechanic. The role includes cleaning duties per train schedules and strict adherence to safety and company policies.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting components, documenting inspections, and performing electrical tests while maintaining readiness for overtime, weekends, and varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills).
• Ability to work flexible schedules.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must have great communication and organizational skills.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment screening process.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots passenger cars including toilet, air conditioning, doors, lights, electrical and brake systems and performs repairs as needed.
• Completes regulatory, client and company paperwork.
• Performs electrical tests and maintenance on batteries and locomotive components.
• Provides Blue signal protection and sets up/removes Blue flags/lights.
• Handles 480V ground power cables as required.
• Performs cleaning duties on passenger rail cars and locomotives as needed.
• Communicates inspection findings to Supervisor.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays and in varying weather conditions.
