Job summary

Road & Rail Services in Vance, Alabama is seeking Railcar Inspector & Prep Technician. Start time is 4:30 a.m. with up to six days per week. You will inspect railcars, remove debris, check equipment, and prepare railcars for service in a hands-on, outdoor setting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars for damage, wear, fatigue, or other concerns.
• Check railcar interiors before loading vehicles.
• Remove dirt, debris, and contaminants using equipment.
• Open, inspect, and secure railcar end doors.
• Identify repair needs within scope of work.
• Report damaged railcars and unsafe conditions.
• Follow railroad, customer, and company safety requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment properly.
• Keep work areas clean and hazard-free.
• Support daily production goals and assist coworkers.
• Complete additional railcar prep duties as assigned.
