TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc. is seeking a Cost Estimating Professional to join our Fort Worth, TX facility.

You will prepare cost estimates and customer quotes in line with AAR regulations, analyzing inspection findings and materials to build comprehensive work orders. The role requires collaborating with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and sales teams to clarify scope, material, and pricing.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in rail cost estimating, manufacturing estimating, railcar repair, or related fields.
• Working knowledge of AAR codes, standards, and regulations applicable to railcar repair and billing.
• Experience interpreting customer procedures, specifications, contracts, and repair requirements.
• Experience reading blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, or engineering models.
• Ability to analyze information, apply standard procedures, and resolve straightforward estimating problems.
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.

Responsabilidades

• Review inbound inspection reports, validate findings, and identify missing or inconsistent information for follow-up.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and customer quotes based on customer criteria, procedures, contracts, and AAR requirements.
• Analyze a range of estimating issues, evaluate solutions, and escalate exceptions when appropriate.
• Interpret drawings, BOMs, damage assessments, shop instructions, and customer specs to establish estimates.
• Source repair parts and materials, including research, pricing, availability, and requisition support.
• Develop comprehensive work orders translating customer requirements into clear shop instructions.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, sales, customer service, quality, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain records and repair documentation including invoices, AAR cards, testing docs, and revisions.
• Support estimate-to-billing accuracy by aligning docs with approved scope.
• Build knowledge of plant processes and pursue future ownership in estimating.
• Contribute to standard work, documentation quality, and continuous improvement in estimating.
• Perform additional technician or estimating duties as required.
