Job summary

TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Cost Estimating Professional to prepare accurate cost estimates and customer quotes in compliance with AAR regulations. You will source materials, develop work orders, and maintain repair documentation while collaborating cross-functionally across the organization.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong communication, and rail cost estimating experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Two years of rail cost estimating experience preferred.
• AAR codes, standards, and regulation experience required.
• Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.
• Experience reading blueprints or engineering models.
• Experience interpreting customer procedures and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review in-bound inspection reports and validate findings.
• Prepare cost estimates and quotes based on customer criteria and procedures while maintaining AAR compliance.
• Source repair parts and materials based on drawing interpretation and customer criteria (research and requisition).
• Review shop instructions and develop comprehensive work orders based on customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain records and documentation pertaining to repairs to include invoices, AAR billing repair cards, and testing documentation.
• Additional technician duties as required.
