Job summary

Omaha Track, Inc. is seeking a Scale House Operations Specialist to support daily rail yard operations, inventory control, truck and rail movements, shipping documentation, and customer service.

The role is based out of a scale house trailer but requires regular presence in the rail yard. This full-time clerical position requires the candidate to weigh railcars and trucks, release railcars, balance yard inventories, and manage shipping records while maintaining strong organization and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in an office support role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and answer phone calls in a professional manner.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
• Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
• Maintain office supplies inventory and reorder as needed.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining office files and records.
• Provide general support to office staff as needed.
• Complete various administrative tasks as assigned.
• Weigh all railcars and trucks in/out.
• Release railcars as needed.
• Balance yard inventories.
• Maintain and balance orders being shipped.
• Update cars storage sheets.
• Track ongoing projects on spreadsheets.
• Enter all BoL’s into OTIS.
