Job summary

Omaha Track, Inc. seeks a Scale House Operations Specialist to support daily rail yard operations, inventory control, truck and rail movements, shipping documentation, and customer service. Based in a scale house trailer, you will also roam the rail yard to verify railcars and materials.

The role requires punctuality, strong organization, and the ability to work around trucks and heavy equipment. A high school diploma and proficiency with Microsoft Office are expected; experience in office

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and answer phone calls professionally.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
• Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
• Maintain office supplies inventory and reorder as needed.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining office files and records.
• Provide general support to office staff as needed.
• Complete various administrative tasks as assigned.
• Weigh all railcars and trucks in/out.
• Release railcars as needed.
• Balance yard inventories.
• Maintain and balance orders being shipped.
• Update cars storage sheets.
• Track ongoing projects on spreadsheets.
• Enter all BoL’s into OTIS.
