Job summary

Watco seeks a conductor/engineer to control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars in yards or industrial sites to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently. This is a manual labor position with an introductory training period.

You will learn to read switching orders, operate locomotives, follow railroad rules, and maintain accurate records under supervision, contributing to a reliable supply chain for our customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass training and required testing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
• Follow written and verbal directions to complete tasks on schedule.
• Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math.
• Read switching orders and supervise train crews.
• Operate locomotive in yard per railroad rules and regulations.
• Maintain records of cars switched.
