Olsson is seeking a Project Engineer for the Rail Water Resources team in Nebraska. The role involves hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, modelling, and coordinating permits for floodplain and drainage projects.

Some travel to job sites in varied conditions is required, with location flexibility for Omaha, NE. Ideal candidates hold a PE and a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, with 4+ years of water resources experience and proficiency in CAD/GIS/HEC tools.

Qualifications

• PE licensure required or in process.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 4+ years water resources engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and modelling.
• Prepare project documents aligned with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop new techniques and guide design tasks with Olsson teams.
• Collaborate with project managers to report progress and identify challenges.
• Assist with scopes and schedules; attend client meetings.
• May supervise and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
• Provide guidance on overall objectives, critical issues, and new concepts.
• Maintain project and client information in the project management system.
