Job description

Position Overview

As a Water Project Manager in our Omaha, NE office, you will lead multi‑discipline design teams on large, cutting‑edge water projects. Your responsibilities include design engineering, staff oversight, quality control, client development, proposal preparation, and sales support. You will work on projects such as stream restoration, stormwater management, drainage, water conveyance, wastewater treatment, and related transportation aspects for municipal, private, and state clients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform design engineering and oversee project design staff
  • Maintain quality control throughout the design process
  • Develop client relationships and support business development activities
  • Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports
  • Assist with sales pursuits for water‑related projects
  • Lead multidisciplinary design teams to complete tasks within schedules and budgets
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire
  • At least 5 years of professional water resources engineering experience
  • Proven experience designing and leading small to large water‑related projects
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, modeling, studies, proposals and reports
  • Strong technical writing and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Stream restoration experience
  • Wastewater treatment experience
  • Experience managing teams of design professionals
  • Local candidates with a strong network among local clients
  • Master’s degree

Compensation

The base salary range is $124,500.00 to $217,800.00, varying by location and experience.
