Job summary

Siemens Mobility invites a Mechanical Engineering co‑op to join our Central Engineering team in Sacramento, CA. You will develop and document work instructions for rail vehicle overhauls, assist with mechanical designs and modifications, and support bidding on maintenance projects.

Utilize Creo to create 3D models and fabrication drawings while gaining mentorship from seasoned engineers. This is a hands‑on, collaborative internship emphasizing real‑world engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Current sophomore or junior undergrad pursuing a BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Prior internship or co‑op experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document and create work instructions for overhaul of rail vehicles.
• Assist in rail vehicle equipment mechanical designs and modifications.
• Support in the technical bid of maintenance and overhaul projects.
• Work with Creo modelling software to create 3D models and fabrication drawings.
