Job summary
Valley Metro RPTA in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Rail Vehicle Inspector/Technician to inspect, service and stage rail vehicles for daily operations. This safety-sensitive role requires thorough preventative maintenance and accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications
- Inspection and repair of rail vehicles.
- Experience in rail transit maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance services.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Additional education cannot substitute experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, light maintenance, and minor repairs on rail vehicles.
- Monitor components needing diagnosis or repair.
- Maintain maintenance records and inspection reports.
- Cross-train and assist other workers.
- Complete complex inspections when trained.
- Move and stage rail vehicles for cleaning and inspection.
- Stock supplies and dispose of fluids safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
