Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking an Engineer 3, Systems in Westminster, USA. The role focuses on engineering implementation of automatic door entrances for transit rail vehicles, balancing cost, performance, weight, and longevity across metro and regional fleets.

You will review customer specs, develop system proposals, create test plans, and oversee qualification testing throughout vehicle development. Collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with electromechanical systems and electronics concepts.
• Knowledge of standards such as APTA, ADA, FRA, ASTM, IEEE, EMC.
• Ability to develop system proposals and interface analyses.

Responsabilités

• Review customer specifications and create requirements traceability matrix.
• Develop system proposals and documentation (system descriptions, interface analyses).
• Create test plans and oversee qualification testing during vehicle development.
• Create system bill of materials and provide costing/weight estimates.
• Lead design reviews and provide engineering direction to project teams.
• Oversee on-car commissioning to achieve customer acceptance.
• Interface with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure product quality.
• Provide project updates to senior staff and management.
