Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking an Intern in Systems Engineering in Irving, Texas. The role supports the Sales and Systems Engineering group within the Train Dynamics Systems division, contributing to LEADER® product family lifecycle from requirements to in-service support.

The intern will work across software, data analysis and onboard hardware aspects, reporting to the Manager of Sales and Systems Engineering, with end-to-end deliverables and exposure to automation and test

Qualifications

• Enrollment in accredited bachelor or master program in a technical field; two years completed by start of term.
• Capable in at least one scripting/programming language, Python preferred.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux environments and command line.
• Data analysis using Excel, Python, MATLAB or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office for communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for engineering systems on Linux hosts.
• Expand test automation harness, run regression campaigns, report results.
• Diagnose and fix defects in tools affecting data accuracy, unit conversion, and visualization.
• Deploy and configure engineering web apps and VM environments.
• Prepare onboarding and design hand-over documentation for internal review.
