Job summary

Luster National seeks a Utility Coordinator to support a major rail infrastructure program in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will identify utility conflicts, coordinate with public and private owners, and drive resolutions to align with the project schedule.

In this onsite, long-term role, you’ll manage relocation schedules, prepare permits, and ensure compliance with right of way and environmental regulations while reporting progress to leadership and legal counsel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of utility coordination experience on transportation infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of utility systems, right of way requirements, easements, and environmental regulations as they apply to coordination and design.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, profiles and utility drawings to identify conflicts.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier, Kahua.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Identify utility conflicts and coordinate with owners to resolve before design/construction impacts.
• Maintain utility conflict matrix and track relocation schedules against dates.
• Prepare utility permit applications and confirm conformity with policies and ROW requirements.
• Review design plans to identify conflicts and route for resolution; support field relocations.
• Coordinate subsurface utility engineering work in dense urban corridors; manage closure/outage windows.
• Maintain coordination records for payment, audit, and claim review.
• Communicate status to project delivery team and external stakeholders.
