Job summary

Thermon is seeking a Product Engineer to design transportation systems to customer specifications for Thermon Rail and Transit. You will prepare isometrics, panel, cable, and instrument drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

You will report to the Manager, Engineering of the Transportation product line and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, on‑time solutions from Thermon San Marcos campus, onsite, 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in design to order engineered design.
• Good working experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• English language is required (read, write, and converse).

Responsibilities

• Design transportation systems to customer specifications to ensure satisfaction and profitability.
• Prepare isometrics, panel schedules, cable schedules, instrument schedules, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and location drawings using design software.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management teams.
• Follow established project design guides, execution guides, and quality plans; provide feedback on deficiencies.
• Maintain project design folder structure and contribute to global/regional tools and procedures.
