Job summary

Thermon Industries, Inc. in San Marcos, Texas, is seeking a Control Panels Designer to design electrical control panels and assemblies per customer specifications, ensuring customer satisfaction, production efficiency and Thermon profitability.

You will prepare drawing packages, BOMs, layouts and electrical schematics using AutoCAD and SEE Electrical, support the Thermon Panel Shop, and collaborate with designers, project managers and customers to deliver accurate, compliant designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to interpret written/oral instructions from supervisor(s) and carry out duties, seeking guidance for non-standard tasks.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, read product literature, and view training aids.
• Be enthusiastic, safety minded and able to take on responsibility.
• Be team oriented and participate in a team culture.

Responsibilities

• Design small to medium projects or several small projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate with designers and Project Managers to generate drawing packages.
• Collaborate with customer representatives on technical issues.
• Create and review drawings using AutoCAD and other software.
• Prepare and review drawings for accuracy.
• Review drawings prepared by other designers.
• Support production staff to ensure the physical product aligns with drawings.
• Adhere to Thermon procedures and guides related to quality and project execution.
