AtkinsRéalis in New York, NY, is seeking an entry-level Rail and Transit Engineer to join our Rail & Transit Team. You will assist in planning, design, and production of drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads, and perform data collection, calculations, and design evaluations for transportation projects.

You'll support field activities, reviews of shop drawings, and project documentation under supervision, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and contributing to day-to-day

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of engineering experience, including internship in transportation/design.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads, MicroStation, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ArcGIS, Rhino.
• EI or EIT preferred or able to obtain within 12 months of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and production of drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads.
• Perform data acquisition and analysis, including field data and calculations.
• Prepare technical sections of reports and cost estimates under supervision.
• Participate in field observations and review of shop drawings.
• Support project management and cross-functional coordination across R&T activities.
