Jacobs in Hawaii is hiring a Civil Engineering Lead – Rail Transit in Honolulu. You will head civil design across planning through PS&E, leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with clients to deliver rail corridor and station-area improvements.

The role requires a Hawaii PE (or ability within 6 months), 10+ years in civil/transportation engineering, and strong leadership. In-office presence in Downtown Honolulu is required to support the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Hawaii Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of civil/transportation engineering experience on complex projects.
• Lead civil scope from planning through PS&E and construction support.
• Client-facing leadership and clear communication of decisions and risks.
• Knowledge of local standards and federal guidance for transit.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil scope from concept through close-out, including PS&E and construction support.
• Coordinate interfaces across structures/guideway, utilities, roadway, and stakeholders.
• Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk for programs.
• Mentor engineers and drive QA/QC across deliverables.
• Provide client-facing leadership and coordinate design decisions.
