Our global experience and local insight come together through integrated planning, design and delivery — supporting programs that keep communities connected and moving forward.

  • Support development and execution of project management plans and procedures
  • Manage design coordination, including deliverable tracking, reviews, and team alignment
  • Organize and lead internal and client‑facing meetings; document key decisions and action items
  • Support client communication and interface with CTDOT and external stakeholders
  • Track project risks, issues, and changes and coordinate resolution across teams
  • Assist with cost tracking, pricing reviews, and delivery schedule updates
  • Maintain project documentation, reporting, and compliance with project controls processes
Rail / Technical Responsibilities
  • Lead day‑to‑day rail design coordination and technical delivery for the project
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for rail discipline integration across civil, structures, and systems teams
  • Coordinate with CTDOT rail group and external stakeholders to ensure design alignment with project requirements
  • Oversee preparation and submission of rail‑related design deliverables, including plans, specifications, and supporting documentation
  • Identify and resolve rail design issues, constraints, and conflicts during design development
  • Support incorporation of rail standards, constructability considerations, and operational requirements into the design
  • Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and coordination workshops to advance rail‑related scopes
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Substantial professional years of experience in rail or transportation design
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a discipline lead or task lead on complex, multidisciplinary projects

  • Ability to develop high‑quality, complete design packages that can withstand independent review
  • Strong understanding of design risk, change management, and issue resolution
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical rail requirements to non‑rail team members
  • Strong coordination skills—able to manage inputs from multiple disciplines without losing control of scope
  • Organized and responsive; able to track and close out technical action items
  • Comfortable working in a client‑facing, fast‑moving DOT environment
