Job summary

Jacobs, a global engineering leader, seeks a Civil Engineering Lead – Rail Transit in Honolulu to drive planning, design and construction support across rail corridor and station-area packages. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and partner with clients to deliver planning, design, and construction support services on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a Hawaii P.E., 10+ years in civil/transportation, and hands-on leadership from concept through PS&E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related).
• Hawaii Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of relevant civil/transportation engineering experience, including leading roles.
• Lead civil scope from concept through PS&E and construction support.
• Client-facing leadership and cross-team coordination.
• Knowledge of local design standards (HDOT, DTS, CCH) and criteria.
• Knowledge of FHWA/FTA/FRA guidance and funding requirements.
• Proficiency with Civil design software (Bentley/OpenRoads, Civil 3D/AutoCAD).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Honolulu-based availability with daily in-office presence.

Responsibilities

• Guide civil scope from concept through PS&E and construction support.
• Coordinate interfaces across structures/guideway, utilities, roadway, third parties.
• Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and liaise with clients.
• Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
