Job summary

Road & Rail Services is hiring a dependable Transfer Operator to join our Baltimore team. This is a hands-on outdoor role for someone who takes pride in working safely, supporting their team, and completing physically demanding work.

No rail experience is required; we value safety, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k), paid holidays and vacation, boot allowance, PPE, and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Comfortable performing physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Able to climb, bend, stand, walk and work around industrial equipment.
• Willing to learn new equipment, processes and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely transfer bulk materials between railcars and tank trucks using pumps, hoses, valves and equipment.
• Connect/disconnect transfer hoses and equipment; operate pumps and valves.
• Inspect equipment before and during transfers; monitor for spills or leaks.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate with supervisors and team members.
