Railserve in Augusta, GA is seeking a dependable Transloader for hands-on, outdoor work in a fast-paced facility. The role focuses on safe movement and placement of railcars, loading/unloading, and coordinating with operations to support customer production.

No rail experience is required as Railserve provides training; ideal candidates are safety-minded, physically capable, and eager to start a long-term career with a growing industrial leader in rail services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle equipment and materials.
• Ability to climb on and off railcars, ladders, and platforms.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong attendance and dependability required.
• Ability to follow instructions, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify railcar numbers and placement according to instructions.
• Assist with loading and unloading railcars using established procedures.
• Connect and disconnect hoses, valves, and transfer equipment.
• Operate switches, derails, and trackside equipment.
• Control movement of equipment using radio communication, hand signals, and visual indicators.
• Couple and uncouple railcars and handle air hoses and wheel chocks.
• Apply and release hand brakes to secure equipment.
• Inspect equipment and work areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Monitor operations and report any issues, hazards, or equipment concerns.
• Assist with basic locomotive and rail operations as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
