Job summary

Siemens Mobility invites driven students to join our Rail Traction Components Test Engineering Intern program in Alpharetta, GA for a 10–12 week period. You’ll gain hands-on experience with test equipment and learn how to specify, commission, and troubleshoot electrical systems used in rail components.

The role targets rising juniors or seniors pursuing engineering degrees and offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and on‑the‑job skills

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or similar from an accredited college or university
Legal authorization to work in the US is required
Must reside or go to school near internship location (Alpharetta)

Responsibilities

Learn about our standard processes and our test equipment
Gain insight into electrical equipment and what it takes to keep it running
Troubleshoot equipment that is not working properly
Develop new processes and commission new equipment
Work with project managers, engineers, and manufacturing experts to learn about the entire lifecycle of a project through shadowing and the assignment of relevant tasks to build up your practical knowledge
Interface with different areas of the business and learn about how collaboration drives success
