Job summary

Siemens Rail Components in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Test Engineer to help shape next‑gen rail components. You will support introduction and production, adapt international test setups, and provide technical testing expertise across US and international teams.

The role requires a B.E. in electrical engineering with 5+ years of related experience, expertise in LabVIEW, and strong documentation and communication skills. Travel may be required.

  • Review and improve Test Requirements; ensure local infrastructure is adequate.
  • Create, improve, and troubleshoot Test Procedures and Test Programs.
  • Represent Engineering Team at FAIs to support design and test questions.
  • Lead teams to reduce routed hours, improve tester safety, and sustainability.

Position Overview

As the rail industry continues to grow, Siemens Rail Components is looking for a skilled Test Engineer to help shape what’s next. The Test Engineer will support the introduction and production of rail components at Siemens Rail Components in Alpharetta, GA. In this role, you’ll collaborate with teams in the U.S. and abroad to adapt international test set‑ups, provide technical expertise, and improve testing processes for rail components.

What your day-to-day will look like
  • Responsible for all new test infrastructure and troubleshooting existing ones
  • Review and improve Test Requirements and ensure local infrastructure is adequate
  • Creation, improvement, and troubleshooting of Test Procedures and Test Programs
  • Represent Engineering Team at Internal and Customer FAIs to support any questions regarding design and test infrastructure
  • Lead teams to define opportunities for reducing routed hours, increasing ergonomics, improving tester safety, and favorably impacting our sustainability efforts

To thrive in this role, you have
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of five years of related experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
