Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Hands-on Motor Technician for the Rail Traction Components team in Alpharetta, GA. You will assemble, inspect, test, and troubleshoot rail traction motors on the second shift, with training on first shift.

A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered after 180 days, with participation in 6S and continuous improvement programs. The role requires precise work, safety focus, and collaboration with engineers and supervisors to ensure reliable performance in a climate-controlled?

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of EHS procedures, product standards, and assembly processes.
• Experience with machines, hand tools, and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to document accurately in written and/or electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust motors to meet specs and customer requirements.
• Complete inbound inspections; stage parts; remove couplings with specialized tools; examine components.
• Prepare and test assemblies—rotors, stators, seals, coils, insulation systems.
• Install bearings, reassemble, and flush regreasing systems.
• Conduct electrical, insulation, surge, balance, and vibration testing.
• Maintain order and safety; prep motors for paint; support 6S and CI initiatives.
