Job summary

Siemens AG in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Motor Technician (2nd shift) to assemble, inspect, and test rail traction motors. You will work from detailed drawings, use specialized tools, and collaborate with supervisors and engineers to ensure high-quality motors.

The role requires a high school diploma and strong math/reading/writing skills. A one-time sign-on bonus is available; the pay is $22 per hour, with training on 1st shift possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of EHS procedures, product standards, and assembly processes.
• Experience working with machines, tools, and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to accurately document and record information.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust motor units to meet specs and customer requirements.
• Complete inbound inspections, stage parts, and inspect key motor components.
• Prepare and test motor assemblies including rotors, stators, seals, coils, and insulation systems.
• Install bearings, reassemble motors, flush regreasing systems, and perform electrical, insulation, surge, balance, and vibration testing.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and support 6S and process improvements.
