Job summary

Springrecruits is seeking an experienced Track Worker to join its Maintenance of Way team. The role involves performing routine track maintenance, repairs, and construction outdoors, often in variable weather, to keep railroad lines safe and functional.

The ideal candidate has hands-on track maintenance experience, can operate tampers and other equipment, and can lift heavy loads while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Experience in railroad track maintenance or construction.
• Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather.
• Experience operating track maintenance equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and construction of railroad track.
• Replace ties, rail, switches, turnouts, and grade crossings.
• Assist with surfacing, lining, and aligning track.
• Operate hand tools, hydraulic tools, and other track maintenance equipment.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment.
• Perform inspections to identify track defects and maintenance needs.
• Safely work around active railroad operations while following all company and railroad safety rules.
• Assist with emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
