Job summary

Canadian National Inc. is seeking a Rail Track Maintainer to inspect, repair and replace rails, ties, switches and ballasts.

The position involves outdoor work in varying weather and environments, with a strong emphasis on safety and proper procedures. You will operate and maintain hand tools and equipment, support the installation and repair of crossings, and ensure the right-of-way is clear while following CN's safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CN's train rails, ties, switches and ballasts through inspection, repair, and replacement.
• Unload ballast and distribute track material; ensure track remains safe for operation.
• Ensure railroad right-of-way is clear of brush, vegetation, snow and litter.
• Adhere to CN safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
