Job summary

R.J. Corman Railroad Switching Co LLC seeks an Assistant Track Supervisor in Westlake, LA to oversee day-to-day track maintenance and repair activities, ensuring safe, reliable railway operations.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, strong knowledge of FRA rules, and solid communication and supervisory skills. Excellent safety focus and ability to manage multiple tasks are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Prefer related work experience of at least 3-5 years involving track inspection, repair, and maintenance.
• Must have good communication skills and good employee relations.
• Should be multi-task oriented and possess good analytical skills.
• Computer application skills required, and previous supervisory type experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance gang to ensure quality maintenance and safe work performance.
• Ensures the safety of employees performing maintenance related activities on R.J.Corman Railroads.
• Ensures track meets all requirements for RJC and FRA.
• Ensures that employees adhere to all FRA related rules and regulations.
• Undertakes supervision of special projects as assigned.
• Completes and maintains all daily maintenance forms including: Daily Production Report, Hot Work Permit, Rail Added Report, etc.
• Maintains close communication with all operating divisions to discuss and address daily issues and/or concerns as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
