Job summary

R.J. Corman Railroad Switching Company is seeking a Track Inspector in Westlake, LA. The role involves safely inspecting rails, ties, roadbed and switches, and supporting track installation and repair activities.

Responsibilities include working with the Track Superintendent, operating inspection machinery, completing documentation, and maintaining a safe work environment. Railroad experience is preferred, along with ability to pass safety tests and operate basic power tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in track inspection, repair, and maintenance.
• Must pass railroad safety test and training.
• Able to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
• Good communication skills and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Work with Track Superintendent to install/repair track and complete related projects.
• Operate machinery to inspect the track.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Railroad experience preferred.
• Perform track tasks (spikes, ties, surfacing, rails, ballast).
