R.J. Corman Switching Company in Westlake, LA is seeking an Assistant Track Supervisor to oversee maintenance crews and ensure safe, compliant track work. The role emphasizes supervision, daily reporting, and coordination with divisions to resolve issues on site.

The position requires 3–5 years in track maintenance, knowledge of FRA regulations, and strong communication. A hands-on leader capable of multi-tasking is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Prefer related work experience of at least 3-5 years involving track inspection, repair, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of FRA rules and regulations required.
• Must have good communication skills and good employee relations.
• Should be multi-task oriented and possess good analytical skills.
• Computer application skills required, and previous supervisory type experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance gang to ensure quality maintenance and safe work performance.
• Ensures the safety of employees performing maintenance related activities on R.J. Corman Railroads.
• Ensures track meets all requirements for RJC and FRA.
• Ensures that employees adhere to all FRA related rules and regulations.
• Undertakes supervision of special projects as assigned.
• Completes and maintains all daily maintenance forms including: Daily Production Report, Hot Work Permit, Rail Added Report, etc.
• Maintains close communication with all operating divisions to discuss and address daily issues and/or concerns as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
