Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak LLC in Cheyenne, Wyoming is seeking a Frog Fitter - Fabricator to join our production team. You will assemble, grind, and weld railway components using heavy machinery, aligning with safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, welding/grinding experience, and be able to read blueprints and work orders. Forklift and crane experience is a plus; the job rewards reliability with competitive pay and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Experience in welding and grinding operations is an asset.
• Experience in Forklift and Crane operations is an asset.
• Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred.
• Basic mathematical calculation experience in adding and subtracting whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble assigned frogs in a timely manner.
• Grind, weld, fit and assemble steel, iron, and manganese track work products as specified.
• Grind filler blocks and fit switch points and related track-work components.
• Read and follow the production schedule.
• Safely operate jib and overhead cranes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Work with minimal supervision and adhere to safety and quality procedures.
