Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak is seeking a Designer Engineering in Cheyenne, WY. You will design manufacturing and customer drawings with BOMs, using NX, MicroStation, and SAP within Nortrak standards.

The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration with production, and timely project delivery. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in engineering, experience with manufacturing environments, and knowledge of NX Simcenter, CAD tools, and materials processes.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education with diploma or degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
• Three to five years experience in the engineering field.
• Knowledge of materials & casting processes related to the company's manufactured products.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (NX Simcenter) preferred.
• Detailed knowledge in CAD, preferably NX and MicroStation.
• SAP knowledge would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Produce manufacturing/customer drawings with BOMs per latest design standards and customer specifications using CAD/CAM software (NX, MicroStation, SolidWorks).
• Work with a high degree of accuracy; ensure designs meet customer and Nortrak standards.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to address design/manufacturability issues; issue RFIs and submittals as needed.
• Update and revise drawings and BOMs; perform self-checks before formal review.
• Support project teams and adhere to project timelines and budgets.
