voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak LLC in Cheyenne, Wyoming is seeking a Frog Fitter - Fabricator to join our production team. You will assemble, grind, and weld railway components using heavy machinery, aligning with safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, welding/grinding experience, and be able to read blueprints and work orders. Forklift and crane experience is a plus; the job rewards reliability with competitive pay and strong growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble assigned frogs in a timely manner.
• Grind, weld, fit and assemble steel, iron, and manganese track work products as specified.
• Grind filler blocks and fit switch points and related track-work components.
• Read and follow the production schedule.
• Safely operate jib and overhead cranes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Work with minimal supervision and adhere to safety and quality procedures.

We are currently looking for a Frog Fitter - Fabricator to join our team in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Frog Fitter - Fabricator is responsible for assembling pieces, and welding railway components using a heavy machinery that emits high heat.

Task And Responsibilities

• Able to operate grinder, welder and power tools
• * Proficiently assemble assigned frogs in a timely manner
• * Able to finish grind, weld, fit and assemble steel, iron, and manganese track work related products as specified
• * Able to grind filler blocks, fit standard and mag-tip switch points and other miscellaneous track-work related products such as switch clip assemblies
• * Read and follow the production schedule
• * Safely operate jib and overhead cranes
• * Routine clean up work area
• * Able to work with little supervision
• * Adhere to Nortrak's Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies
• * Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
• * Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• * Regularly lift and move up to 20-25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
• * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• * Hearing abilities related to job assigned.

Job Requirements (e.g., Education, Experience, Skills And Desired Competencies)
