Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to design rail track alignments and support a variety of civil engineering tasks from concept to completion. You will perform calculations, develop details, sketches, and analyses, contributing to preconstruction estimates and contract documents.

The role offers exposure to project management, collaboration with teams, and permits coordination. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree and may have experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional expertise with MicroStation and/or InRail (or AutoCad).
• Knowledge of AREMA and local railroad criteria.
• EIT certification/ pursuing a Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsabilités

• Design horizontal and vertical track alignments for rail/transit projects.
• Perform civil design calculations, develop details, prepare sketches and impact analyses.
• Prepare quantity calculations to support preconstruction cost estimates.
• Support project managers with tasks and manage projects from concept to completion.
• Create design/drawings using software to support contract documents for construction.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs during construction phase.
• Assist clients and agencies to obtain permits and coordinate with stakeholders.
