Jacobs is seeking a Rail/Track Engineering Intern in Boston to assist with design calculations and drawings for rail/transit projects. You will support project managers across the life cycle, from concept to completion, and help prepare preconstruction estimates while utilizing MicroStation/AutoCAD to create contract documents and facilitate permit coordination.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional expertise with MicroStation and/or InRail (or AutoCad).
• Knowledge of AREMA and local railroad criteria.
• EIT certification or pursuing a Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Design horizontal and vertical track alignments to shape rail solutions.
• Perform civil design calculations, develop details and sketches.
• Prepare preconstruction quantity estimates for rail/transit projects.
• Support project managers with various tasks from concept to completion.
• Create design drawings using MicroStation/AutoCAD and related tools.
• Assist in developing construction contract documents and permit coordination.
