Job summary

Alstom in Kearny, NJ is seeking a Testing and Commissioning Technician to support installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of cutting-edge rail systems. Reporting to the Hiring Manager, you’ll work with project teams, subcontractors, and customers to keep field operations running safely and efficiently.

You’ll perform equipment testing, analyze failures, implement field modifications, and document procedures while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Technician degree or equivalent technical certification.
• 2–4 years of experience in a technical or field support role.
• Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on electromechanical experience.
• Familiarity with field testing tools, equipment, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and operational phases.
• Investigate and resolve electromechanical failures.
• Develop, execute, and document test procedures.
• Use specialized tools for field maintenance and modifications.
• Support warranty operations and customer recovery activities.
• Report deviations immediately and uphold all HSE requirements.
