Job description

PRS is looking for an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Norfolk Southern Harrisburg rail terminal in a recession-proof industry. We're hiring immediately for this position.

Compensation:

• Hourly pay with yearly income potential of $45,000-$60,000 per year (Which includes overtime)
• Pay rate is commensurate with experience.

Shift:

• 3pm Start Time
• 8 hr shift with available overtime

Candidates:

• Should have a minimum of 2-year experience in the mechanical field and be preventative maintenance minded.
• Must have own tools (Yearly tool allowance provided).
• Must have experience and knowledge working with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel systems and components.
• Will need a valid driver's license.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair side loader equipment, forklifts, and company vehicles.
• Maintain Hostler Fleet.
• Assist in other areas as needed by managers.

• Must have a valid Driver's License. **NO CDL REQUIRED**
• Must be able to pass a 7 year background check. (Felonies in the last 7 yrs jail time in the last 5 yrs or pending charges could disqualify applicants)
• Must be able to pass a drug test & a Physical Capabilities Test. ** Job includes running heavy equipment and drugs including Marijuana are strictly prohibited. **
• (No GED or diploma required)
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• You will eventually be required to provide your own tools.
