Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the DOSE team and design, develop, and test embedded software for rail products. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional engineers to ensure system, functional, and cybersecurity requirements are met while contributing to software releases.

You will review requirements, perform design and code reviews, and develop robust software components, using C/C++ and scripting to automate tasks and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field with 1-3 years of related experience.
• Experience with C and C++ software development.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Experience with Linux or Unix-based real-time operating systems (QNX, FreeRTOS) and software design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software components for rail products.
• Perform requirement and design reviews, code reviews, and unit testing as part of DOSE processes.
• Release software per DOSE guidelines and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to meet system and cybersecurity requirements.
