Job summary

Evotti Marine is seeking a Rail Subassembly & Component Fabrication Technician to prepare and assemble marine components on 1st shift. You will operate saw systems, bend parts, and perform deburring and labeling while ensuring parts meet design specs.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Lift requirements and physical demands are noted, with standard PPE provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of fabrication/assembly/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Proficient reading of technical drawings, blueprints.
• Familiarity with aluminum, stainless steel, and composites.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw systems to cut aluminum, stainless steel, or composites to length/angle.
• Form parts with tube and bar bending equipment to required radii.
• Prepare parts via deburring, hole drilling, surface finishing, labeling.
• Assemble prefabricated parts into mechanical subassemblies per drawings or work instructions.
• Ensure subassemblies meet spec and pass fit/finish/function checks before downstream release.
• Communicate with quality and assembly teams to resolve part issues.
• Read job orders and cut lists to ensure correct materials and fabrication.
• Support continuous improvement for quality, efficiency, and workflow.
• Maintain build documentation accuracy across multiple builds.
• Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment and keep area clean per 5S.

Rail Subassembly & Component Fabrication Technician

Summary:

The Subassembly & Component Fabrication Technician is responsible for preparing and assembling marine components using saw systems, tube and bar benders, and part preparation tools. This position plays a key role in supporting production by fabricating high-quality parts that meet design specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience with fabrication equipment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Operate saw systems (manual and automated) to cut aluminum, stainless steel, or composite materials to specified lengths and angles.
• Use tube and bar bending equipment to form parts to required radii and configurations, verifying tolerances with jigs or measuring tools.
• Perform part preparation tasks including deburring, hole drilling, surface finishing, and labeling or tagging for assembly or inventory.
• Assemble prefabricated parts into mechanical subassemblies following drawings, work instructions, or build fixtures.
• Ensure each subassembly is built to specification and inspected for fit, finish, and function before release to downstream departments.
• Communicate with quality and assembly teams to resolve part issues or inconsistencies.
• Read and interpret job orders, engineering prints, and cut lists to ensure accurate fabrication and correct material selection.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality, efficiency, and workflow.
• Maintain build documentation accuracy and consistency across multiple builds.
• Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment and keep a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow all workplace safety practices and PPE requirements.
• Safely handle sharp or heavy materials to minimize risks.

• Basic mechanical aptitude with ability to operate saws, benders, and fabrication tools.
• Mechanical assembly skills with understanding of alignment, fasteners, and jig-based builds.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and using measuring devices.
• Familiarity with materials used in marine manufacturing (aluminum tubing, stainless steel, composites).Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for consistent output.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
• Commitment to safety and proper handling of tools and materials.

Required education and experience:

• 1–2 years of experience in fabrication, assembly, or related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred education and experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Previous marine or aluminum fabrication experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods during working hours.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments with exposure to seasonal weather.

Work environment:

• Standard manufacturing environment.
• Work is performed inside or outside year-round. There is exposure to dirt, dust, noise, equipment, vibrations, and seasonal weather conditions.
• All necessary PPE will be provided.

Travel Requirements:
