Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Rail Site Development Engineer to support the Rail Team with site civil design for rail projects across multiple locations in the US. You will apply standard civil engineering techniques to rail site development and work with a multi-discipline team.

Responsibilities include coordinating with design team members, clients, sub-consultants and utilities, providing senior guidance, and assisting task leaders on major projects while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited civil engineering degree with 7 years of civil experience.
FE exam completed; EPC project experience preferred.
Master’s in Civil Engineering with 6 years of civil experience; EPC project experience preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate study/design of civil site development infrastructure including rail and stormwater.
Coordinate disciplines for projects of significant or moderate scope or a mix of smaller projects.
Provide leadership and instruction to less experienced staff members.
Assists with supervision of staff and task management on major projects.
Regularly coordinates with design team members, clients, sub-consultants, utility companies or other stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.
