Our comprehensive services include design, design‑build, construction management, environmental planning, feasibility studies, inspection, ITS, MS4 compliance assistance, permitting, program management, right‑of‑way acquisition, signaling & lighting, stakeholder engagement, storm water/drainage design, strategic consulting, sustainable design, traffic analysis, transportation enhancement, and utility coordination and relocation.

Responsibilities
  • Will direct and coordinate work associated with the study and/or design of civil site development infrastructure systems, including but not limited to rail and stormwater.
  • Coordination of activities of several disciplines may be required for projects of significant or moderate scope, or a combination of smaller projects.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
  • Assists with supervision of staff and task management on major projects.
  • Regularly coordinates with design team members, clients, sub‑consultants, utility companies or other project stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Work with a multi‑discipline team of engineers and technicians in the site civil design and analysis as it relates to rail projects.
  • Performs tasks requiring applications of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Standard design of civil project work.
  • Assist task leaders and project managers with various project duties.
  • Serve as a team member on multi‑disciplined projects.
  • Works with senior staff on technical aspects of a project.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program and 7 years civil engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam with 7 years civil engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.
  • Master Degree in Civil Engineering with 6 years civil engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong computer skills (AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, PLS, PLS‑CADD, RISA‑3D, MathCADD), and/or hydraulic, hydrologic, pavement, civil analysis programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem‑solving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License Preferred.
