Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Rail Site Development Engineer to lead civil site design for rail projects across a multi-disciplinary team. The role focuses on rail and stormwater infrastructure, coordinating with clients and sub-consultants, and guiding junior staff. This position offers travel and collaboration across locations in the US.

Ideal candidates hold ABET-accredited Civil Engineering credentials, FE or PE status is preferred, and possess strong CAD/BIM software skills.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree required with 7+ years civil engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate work on the study and/or design of civil site development infrastructure systems, including rail and stormwater.
Coordinate activities of several disciplines for projects of significant or moderate scope.
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.
Assist supervision of staff and task management on major projects.
Regularly coordinate with design team members, clients, sub-consultants, utility companies or other stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.
Work with a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians in site civil design and analysis for rail projects.
