Union Pacific Railroad is seeking an Assistant Signal Worker to assist with installation, repair, and upkeep of railroad signals and grade crossing systems. You will work across North America, operating equipment and traveling within designated territory to ensure safe transportation of goods.

The role requires a valid driver's license, basic computer skills, and the ability to supervise others while complying with safety and FRA regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Ability to supervise others and plan tasks.
• Strong planning, organization and information management.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with FRA rules.
• Ability to interpret tables, charts, and graphs.
• Fundamental mechanical reasoning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must complete English assessment before interview.

Responsabilités

• Inspect signal circuitry, equipment, and systems for defects.
• Assemble, troubleshoot, and repair signal devices.
• Install, maintain, and replace signal wiring and components.
• Operate vehicles and travel within territory as required.
• Ensure safe, timely completion of tasks and adapt to changes.
• Collaborate with teammates, supervisors, and customers.
• Follow safety rules and FRA guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
