Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) seeks a Signal Maintainer to inspect, maintain and repair signaling systems (CTC, ATC, PTC) and related equipment. You will troubleshoot with test gear, conduct tests, and ensure compliance with FRA and RTD rules.

The role requires 3+ years FRA-qualified experience, use of MS Office tools, and the ability to obtain RTD Roadway Worker Protection certification. A valid Colorado CDL Class A is required, with strong communication and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years experience as an FRA qualified Signal Maintainer.
• Ability to obtain and retain understanding of RTD Commuter Rail Roadway Worker Protection procedures.
• Must pass a mechanical/electrical skills exam with a minimum score of 80%.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado CDL Class A license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair and install signal systems including CTC, ATC and PTC.
• Troubleshoot using test equipment and diagnose faults in signals, switches and crossing devices.
• Document and report inspections and tests in company systems.
• Work safely and coordinate with other crews during emergencies or events.
