Job summary

Rio Grande Pacific Technology (RioTech), a Rio Grande Pacific Corporation company, is seeking a Signal Crewman to support daily railroad signal maintenance and construction activities. This hands-on role involves loading materials, carrying tools, digging, trenching, pulling cable, and assisting technicians outdoors in varying weather conditions while following safety procedures.

You will work as part of a field crew, perform physical tasks, and adhere to railroad safety rules.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, digging, bending, standing).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work around active railroad tracks and construction areas.
• Follow safety rules and job-site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist signal technicians with maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Help install and remove signal equipment, wiring, cable, and materials.
• Use basic hand and power tools.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
• Keep work areas, vehicles, and equipment clean and organized.
• Follow railroad safety rules and job-site procedures.
• Perform general labor and field support as assigned.
