Strasburg Rail Road Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine maintenance and repairs on shop machinery, power tools, and equipment. The role reports to the Mechanical Shop Superintendent and requires handling fabrication, welding, and occasional operation of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, ensuring safety, and working with the team to meet project needs. A valid driver's license and basic math skills are expected in a hands-on shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in SRC mechanical dept or similar trade experience.
• Ability to read and follow verbal or written instructions.
• Experience operating welding machines and oxy/fuel torches.
• Capable of reading simple mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine maintenance and inspection of shop machinery and tools.
• Maintain inventory of lubricants and spare parts.
• Operate forklifts, telehandlers, skid-steer, backhoe.
• Fabricate parts using machine tools and welders.
• Keep records of purchases and repairs.
• Document work as required.
• Work safely and with team members.
